The danger is when we become so busy and preoccupied with doing, we rarely have the time to just be. Artists cannot innovate from places of anxiety, fear or hate. We must pursue a state of play, delight and rest. The only place to find lasting rest is in the presence of God. We think that satisfying our desires will make us happy. But there is no satisfaction in self focused hunger. We always want more. It is only in other focused living where our appetite finds a greater sense of peace.
